ISLAMABAD, Aug 16: The Pakistan Embassy in Berlin, Germany has organized a two-day event, featuring the famous truck art at the World Famous East-side Gallery.
The event titled “Art on Wheels comes to Berlin” commenced amid great interest showed by the German visitors.
A three-member, Pakistan truck art team, Phool Patti decorated a car and a wall with colourful floral patterns, animals and birds, landmark buildings and flags of Germany and Pakistan in the presence of the tourists visiting the venue, said a message received here Sunday.
Visitors took a keen interest in the live paintings and appreciated the bold colours, free hand brushing by the artists and presentation of every day life, culture, and landscape of the country through this form of art.
Officials of the embassy led by Charge’d’ Affairs, Ameer Khurram Rathore were present on this occasion and explained the truck art of Pakistan and its penetration and expansion into every day life.
A booklet “Journey through Pakistan” which provides an illustrative visit with a brief description of historical places and tourists spots of Pakistan to the readers in German language was also distributed among the visitors.
