Anti polio drive ends in Rawalpindi



Islamabad: A five-day anti polio drive started from October 14 concluded here on Sunday in Rawalpindi.During the drive over 1, 32,762 children below five years age were administered polio drops.

Talking to APP, District Coordination Officer (DCO), Sajid Zafar Dal said that we had taken solid steps to eradicate polio adding that 447 polio teams were constituted to administer polio drops who performed their duties well.

He informed that the set target had been achieved adding that the health department made sufficient arrangements in this regard.

He praised the teachers, social workers and staff of the district health department who played a key role to make the campaign result oriented.
